Creationlibre Podcast #4
A new issue of our Podcast that i would have wished to be a montly. Anyway you know about Christmas, Weihnachten etc. Always a good reason to keep quiet
Today we talk about print workflow with some new and nice piece of software that will improve the Libre Workflow.
News from colors quality with GnomeColorManagement that will help to popularize this part of the JOb? f course we already have DispCalGUI but it is less integrated with the Desktop. CMYKTool is a new application based on Separate that will produce CMYK picture exported to 8 or 16bit. But we focus mainly on Whyteboard , an PDF annotation tool That is great since it does what Inkscape don’t ; support multipage PDF, allow annotation with text box or paint tools, incorporate imported media files, briefly all what is needed to someone who would tell is mind about a PDF he receives.

Hi, I’m the developer of Whyteboard.
I just thought I would clarify something I think I’ve kind of neglected (or not even thought about) to expand on one thing..
Whyteboard does -not- save your PDF back with completed annotations. It exports all your “sheet” data into a series of images and creates a PDF from those. Be careful overwriting files when exporting; you may lose important data.
I need to give the PDF rendering element of the program an overhaul because there’s a few things wrong with it, that I didn’t really consider before. If you load a PDF, and export/load it several times, the image quality will start to get bad.
PDFs are “cached” when you load them, so if you edit your PDF then loading it in will render the old one. There’s a few things to fix, but I’m not going to have much time now, I’ve recently started full time employment. It’ll have to be a long-term thing :-/
